| Most start-up companies do not have the expertise to understand how to structure a complex angel equity investment in their company. As a result, SEI members will assist in this process by: | |
| 1. Working with the start-up to comply with the 10 Commandments of SEI Investing. | |
| 2. Help develop a realistic evaluation of the start-up company and then request a lead sponsor to negotiate for the angel investors that are fair to both sides. | |
| 3. Assist in overseeing the development and execution of the business plan | |
| 4. Protect the investment of our members by not allowing new money to dilute the investor’s equity position. | |
| 5. Ensure there is a clearly defined exit strategy for our investors. | |
| 6. Serve in advisory positions or on the Board of Directors of Start-Ups. | |
